One of those days when everything seems to be mixed up. One of those days when you're happy for a part and then sad for another part.
Happy part being getting to spend time with Tanya for a while. Even though it did mean having to get up at the unearthly time of 7 AM (It's winter, remember!!!). Went to play basketball and then it was onwards to meet Li'l Miss Fotografer and accompany her as a pseudo- tour guide cum pseudo-camera assistant. The tour guide is a very fraud designation that I'm pinning on myself, given the fact that I know almost next to nothing about the Old City area, which is where I took her. Parked the car at Johari Bazar and then legged it through Bapu Bazar onwards to Chaura Rasta.
Now, as Jaipurites (?) might know, the city isn't quite known for its shopkeepers turning up at 10AM on a winter morning (I ain't the only one!). So, obviously Bapu Bazar was this strip of sparsely occupied shopping space, and so was Chaura Rasta. As a result, onwards we marched into the various gallis around, where she found halwayis inordinately intersting. Finally after having shot some 15 odd pics, the lady decided that she'd had enough and then back we went to my li'l green Wagon Of Joy. Via a slight detour at Mr. Beans, she was finally dropped off so that she could make her way back to New Delhi.
This recent visit by Tanya seems to have stoked the perpetually burning fires in certain regions, leading to unnatural flarings of tempers. This highly ambiguous and weird line is meant for whoever understands. Also, I'm sorry.
As I mentioned before I started gushing about the morning trip and consequences, there was a bad part to the day as well. There was a death in the family in the morning. My Mom's Mamaji passed away in the morning. 'Nuff said.
Cheers!
PS: Pass on the word about this blog... Thanks!
