That's the problem with working in a damned Govt. Institute. With all the laziness and lethargy floating around, you end up having too much time on your hands. And, as it is said, an empty (read unused) mind is the Devil's workshop. That said, who am I to argue with it? Especially since it has the keyword, Devil, in it. As an aside, for people who didn't know, I was (self-pronounced) S.I.D., ie, Satan In Disguise. And in case you think thats too pompous a name, well, all I have to say is - Live with it!

Sorry for the sidetrack. As I was saying, too much time at hand is rather dangerous for someone like me who starts thinking about certain things he'd rather not. But, what's done is done. So I've decided to have certain conversations with certain people regarding certain things. Soon. Not immediately, because almost all of them are much busier than I am.
The topics of conversations are rather controversial, such that I've been skirting them for quite a while. And this stasis would've stayed had I been busy with something. And all these are topics that I've quite an interest in. I've always believed in letting out what you think, rather than leaving things implied. I'd rather be hated for something I said rather than for something I'm assumed to be wanting to say.

And please don't go around scratching your head wondering if you're one of those people. Or wishing that you were, though I can't for the least fathom why anyone would wish so. You'll know if its you in due course.
About it for now. I think I'll take a break from personal jottings on this blog, just in case I slip in parts of the conversations. For atleast the next month or so, you'll have to be content with exactly the type of content that this site purports to have - Rants & Raves.

Cheers!

So, it finally happened. The great maestro (semi retd.) is back on court and playing the best ball ever. And in the Pilani team for the All-CSIR Basketball tournament. All your matches are belongs to us and all that...

After that rather megalomaniac paragraph, on to moe mundane matters. Home on the 25th till the 28th. So if any of you are planning to come to Jaipur (you know who you are!), kindly come.

That said, I'm suddenly too bored to write anything further since I can't write anything more regarding my highly convoluted feats on the court.

Cheers!

Given that I recieved 2 very interesting comments to my previous post, I thought I should atleast clear out what I meant in that post.

@anon
I agree with you on the case of us having to be the leaders and administrators of tomorrow. But just think about it, how many ppl u know actually want to join any of the services, giving up the charm of all the money there to be made in the private sector? Would you, honestly? I have first hand experience of life in the services, and it isn't quite the bed of roses that it's made out to be. Even if you stick to a certain path, the frustration gets to you eventually. It really is the pits.

@PTBAI
The light at the end of the tunnel... Reminds me of a song in which the light turns out to be a freight train coming your way (Metallica-No Leaf Clover). :music:
But seriously, the step that you talk about has to be taken, and taken soon. The only problem is that we all look to the other to take the lead. And I'm honest enuff to accept that even i'm one of them. It's just the way this country works, i'm afraid. We'll get there someday, I know. Just that it's gonna be a long hard road to that end.

Cheers!

Yes, yes. I know I've been away for a while. And I KNOW you missed me awfully. But you can rejoice, cuz I'm back....

Eventful week of sorts. Jhaad was in town so had a major blast. He was here for 3 rather short days. Played my first decent game of ball in a long time. Needless to say, we blitzed the home team (MNIT/MREC). Muahahahaha... The Bash Bros. were back in town.

Poor guy is so amazingly distressed with life in the Infy campus. Everything to do, but almost no time. Poor sods being leeched off their life juices and all that. Scary part being I might be joining the Leeched Club sometime this year... The horror!!!

My present location is still the rather chilly city of Pilani. And yes, it is my birthday. And no, I'm not going home. I shall be right here.

Decent blokes around here at the hostel. Got me cake and everything. Rather unexpected, I have to admit. But then, my hostel experiences haven't quite been the best. Nice to know that there is still some decency left in the world, no fault of mine though :)

Party later tonight, inclusive of everything that makes a party a good one. *HINT*

Now, since I'm in office, and I do have to atleast fraud work. So, 'nuff said and all that.

Cheers!
